The following is my attempt at a very quick, simple, and understandable synopsis of the characters and events in "Glick Glidewell" as they pertain to the current storyline, "Trial by Liar".  I'm ommitting the two parallel universe stories ("Conquest of the Planet of Peroxide" and "GREEN with Envy") entirely, as well as any other material which doesn't directly pertain to what's happening now.  To get the full experience, it's really best to read the comic from the beginning, but if you don't have the time (or you did, and still don't understand), this should be adequate.

So here we go!

NOTE: MANY OF THE PICTURES PRESENTED BELOW ARE FROM THE CURRENT STORYLINE FOR REASONS OF ART QUALITY.  THIS IS WHY YOU WILL SEE SOME OF THE SAME IMAGES IF YOU PROCEED TO READ THE ACTUAL COMIC.

This is Glick Glidewell.

At age 14, Glick successfully built a working time travel device.

Glick

Glick was accompanied on his first trip by Harrison, his best friend.

Harrison got lost in 1960s (which is where he got his shirt).

When Glick returned to the present, Sara-29 captured him and brought him to a mental hospital, convincing him that he had imagined traveling through time.

The TCA Building

After 10 years in the TCA prison, Glick was rescued by Harrison, who was now the head of an animation firm (note: this is where it gets confusing so pay close attention).  The elder Glick and Harrison sent a message back in time to warn themselves of Sara’s approach.  The younger Glick and Harrison came forward and time and met up with their older counterparts in their time (the year 2011).  Sara-29, realizing that killing Glick would cause her own death (and presumably the ethical problems with the plan) allowed all four of them to escape.

The younger Glick and Harrison's hovercraft is attacked by the older Glick.

The younger Glick woke disembodied, staring at the face of a large brown dog.

She identified herself as the Guardian of Time, a demigod whose purpose is to, appropriately enough, guard time.

The Guardian explained that she saved his life because,

“You have potential…and I like you.”

She returned Glick and Harrison to their present (2001).

Upon returning home Glick’s father discovered the time travel device, and was led by the Guardian in an overview of his time as a parent.    When Glick was born, his mother asked what the child should be named and he flippantly replied, “Pick something,” which she interpreted as, “Glick Something”.

Having seen what he has done wrong through the years, he returns home and apologizes to Glick for years of neglect.  However, do to some remarkable bad timing, Glick and Harrison were about to depart for a parallel universe, through a new experiment of Glick’s.  Second’s later, they vanish.

It is now one year later.

Glick and Harrison have returned from their travels.

And now the fun begins.
